You won’t find your voice by TRYING to be unique.

Of course you want to stand out and be memorable. You want to find your own unique voice so you can set yourself apart from the crowd.

You don’t “discover” your voice so much as “hone” it. Discovery happens instantly—like finding a buried treasure, but honing something is to refine it over a period of time. Finding your voice is a gradual process. You want the end result of uniqueness, but you can’t skip the process.

The best way to be unique is to be authentic. There is only one YOU. Stop trying to be someone else. Stop trying to be someone you look up to. Stop trying to be who you think others will like (or even respect).

These feelings all stem from believing you’re not “good enough”.

You are already good enough. Be yourself, be real, be truthful. Don’t be in a rush. Share your story. Talk about your perspective. It won’t happen overnight, but the fastest way to discover your unique voice is to be authentic.
