Welcome to the 100th episode of Fired Up Mondays!
Today we tackle three big questions. First, how do you keep from getting lonely when most of your friends are on the internet? We’re all busy, so it takes some deliberate effort to stay in touch with people IRL. It’s more than worth it, though. Getting out of your house and getting regular face time with friends onto your calendar are two important strategies for staying in touch with the world offline.
It’s hard not to be aware of the ongoing spread of the COVID-19 virus across the world. Hopefully the virus hasn’t affected you directly, but, even so, you might be having a hard time simply living your life, especially if you struggle with any degree of anxiety or depression. Carefully controlling your sources of information becomes ever more important in the face of an epidemic, as does finding ways to maintain perspective: there are precautions that we can and should take, but until something really changes for you, life always goes on.
Finally, we talk about leaving the stability of a full-time job for an exciting new opportunity. The answer this time is simple: plan, proceed with caution, but… go for it. You only live once, and you’ll regret the things you didn’t do far more than those you did.
